Saint Louis University’s Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business has been recognized by Poets&Quants for Undergrads on its 2021 list of the top 100 programs for undergraduate business schools. SLU ranked No. 60 for Outcomes and No. 72 overall in the nation.

“We’re honored to have the quality of business education at the Chaifetz School continue to be recognized by national publications like Poets&Quants for Undergrads,” said Barnali Gupta, Ph.D., Edward Jones Dean of the Chaifetz School of Business. “We’re even more proud of our graduates whose career outcomes during these challenging times played such a major role in this year’s rankings.”

Gupta, who joined SLU Jan. 1, noted that despite the pandemic’s impact on the economy, the percentage of graduates who secured full-time employment within three months of graduation rose in 2020, up two percentage points over 2019.

The Chaifetz School of Business was one of only two schools in Missouri to make this national ranking. 

In terms of methodology, Poets&Quants says its rankings are based on admission standards, academic experience and career outcomes. The factors included the 2020 acceptance rate, average SAT, internship experiences and the percentage of the Class of 2020 with full-time employment three months after graduation.

SLU’s undergraduate programs in business were also rated among the best in the nation in this year’s U.S. News rankings, including No. 15 for international business and No. 36 for entrepreneurship. The Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business is also ranked in the top 15 for the graduate study of entrepreneurship, international business and supply chain management.
