November 2025 – Drew University has remained in the top 20 of the Institute of International Education’s Open Doors report for enrollment of international students.
Drew ranked 19th among U.S. baccalaureate colleges for enrolling 378 international students in the 2024-25 academic year.
The top four counties represented in Drew’s international class were China, South Korea, Zimbabwe, and India.
This marks the ninth time in the last 11 years that Drew has ranked in IIE’s top 20. Drew also remains the highest ranked school in New Jersey, and was the only one to make the report’s top 40.
“We are so proud that Drew’s international student body has once again been recognized,” said Laura Arthur, executive director of Tilghman International Center, which creates a direct enrollment pathway for prospective international students.
“Drew has intentionally and thoughtfully cultivated a strong, diverse group of students from around the world,” Arthur added. “Both the academic and personal experiences that Drew offers greatly appeal to our impressive cohort of international students, and our welcoming community allows them to thrive.”
Last year, Drew received an additional honorific, the Open Doors 75 Seal of Excellence, in recognition of Drew’s 75 years of reporting international student enrollment data to the organization. Drew has reported international student data since IIE began collecting it in 1949, when Drew reported its international student body population of 32 students.
